Boo at the Zoo

So, it turns out Zoo and Halloween are two concepts that don't SEEM to go together...like peanut butter and chocolate...which we ALL know turned out to be a winning combination. The Zoo is actually a PERFECT place to go trick or treating! Who knew! We had an absolute blast there. It was actually one of the coolest Halloween activities I have ever seen. Thank you AGAIN, gymbomoms and Carrie Gouger (especially) for the Zoo passes which made this whole day possible. :)

Fall Festival in Boulder

Thanks to Marcy's genius friend, Carrie from her California Mom's club, we heard about a site called gocitykids.com where you can find out what is happening in any town any day of the week. Rick typed in our area on Sunday and found this great Fall Festival in Boulder. We went down there and had a blast. In case you think that slide looks a little big for Brian, rest assured so did everyone else. Everyone but Brian, that is. He climbed all the way up - just a little help from Brad on his first try and slid down REALLY fast with a gleeful giggle! What do we know, huh?

Among the Aspens

Ahhhh....the sweet smell of Fall leaves in the air...on my birthday this year, Brian and I went up to Estes Park (the place Rick and I got married) to see the Aspens. It was a gorgeous drive and a fun day but we actually didn't see many Aspens at all. So, toward the end of the week, my mom and the boys went up to see the leaves (past Nederland up towards Central City). It was awesome and we saw lots.
